Release Notes

A Data Center approved version of AIO Tests for Jira was launched on 10th March, 2021. Data Center customers will be required to purchase a Data Center app license upon renewal.

Pricing Information

New features, enhancements and minor bug fixes are listed below for each release done so far for AIO Tests.

20th June, 2021 → Cloud: v1.12

New Features

  • Execution History Report: A new execution cycle report that shows history of all runs of all cases in the cycle along with details of defects reported in each run

  • Export BDD cases as Feature Files: Users can now export their BDD cases as Feature Files

Enhancements

  • New Attachment types supported: .yaml, .feature, .zip and .rar are the newly supported document formats supported for attachments

  • Import Feature Files Error Handling: Detailed handling for BOM & UTF-8 feature files and specific error messages to help users

Minor Bug fixes

  • Folder links issue on refresh fixed

5th June, 2021 → Server: v1.11 & Data Center: v1.11.0

New Features

  • Public REST API support added: Users can now use Public APIs to get and post data

  • Spanish language support: For users who have their Jira preference set to Spanish, will be able to view AIO Tests in Spanish

  • Customizable Columns – users can now add/remove columns in listings as per their requirement. Feature is available for Cases listing, Sets listing, Cycles listing, and cases listed within a Set

  • Defect #s in Cycle Details page: Users can now easily see the number of defects attached to a case from the Cycle details page. The link shows the defects ids with an option to view them in Jira’s issue navigator

  • Import BDD features files: Users can now import features files in AIO Tests allowing their manual BDD cases to be easily created in AIO Tests

  • Select Cases while copying Cycle – Users now have the option to specify which cases to copy while creating a copy of a cycle (remove/add based on additional filters)

  • Custom Sort – Maintain order of execution for cases in a cycle and a set by dragging and dropping

  • Group based access – Manage Apps -> AIO Tests -> Access lets Jira Admins define which Jira user groups have access to the app. Once access is removed, the users of that group will not see the app in Jira. If users belong to multiple groups and if any one group has access to the app, the user will have access to the app

Enhancements

  • Right Click on row to see Available Actions - Actions available through ellipsis in listings are now available through right click including open in new window and copy link functionalities

  • Sort icon removed – Sorting on columns has moved to the headers of each column and thus sort icon has been removed from the listings

  • Duplicate a step from above – Option to copy a step from above

  • Ability to continue editing steps while saving - Users now have the option to intermittently save their steps while staying in Edit mode (Save, Save & Close, Cancel)

  • Drag and drop to Folders – Users can now drag and drop cases, sets and cycles from one folder to another when folder menu is open

  • Created & Last Updated date - Created and last updated date is now shown in right panels for all entities

  • Play videos from Attachments: In addition to viewing images within the app by clicking the image name, users can also play attached videos in a popup instead of downloading it

  • Add cases to Existing Cycle: Users can now add cases to an existing cycle from the Cases tab as well as from Jira panel in addition to the option of creating a new cycle for selected cases

  • Step data copied while creating a new defect: If the user creates a defect from AIO Tests, the steps of the corresponding case get copied as part of the description of the defect being created. This reduces the time of defect creation for QA team

  • Associations tab shows last execution data: The Case details → Associations → Cycles tab now shows last execution data at the first look instead of clicking into additional links

  • Folder name is a link: Folder names are now displayed as links (right hand panel and case details page) taking user to the desired folder directly

  • Group based access extended to APIs: Group based access was introduced in last release. This release extends the same support via Public APIs

  • Quick Execute cases in bulk from Jira Panel: In addition to executing a single case from Jira panel, users can now select and execute multiple cases from Jira panel

  • Case Right panel in Cycle Details - Right panel of a case in a cycle now shows a message if an updated version of the case is available to be added to the cycle

  • Multi-cycle Execution Summary report – Users now have the option to add/remove all cycles after filtering on the input screen of multi-cycle execution report

  • BDD Cases Export – Export cases in Excel/CSV also exports BDD cases

  • BDD Support Extended - Import Edited steps and Execute offline now have support for BDD cases

  • Cucumber Report Import Attachments - screenshots in embeddings in failed cases in Cucumber report are now added as attachments in runs, while importing

  • Ease of Reports access – Users can generate execution detail report in addition to execution summary report from cycle details page itself

  • Gadgets for Jira Dashboards: You can now add 4 AIO Tests report elements to Jira Dashboards via Gadgets - Project Overview, Project Activity and Top Contributors (elements from Project Metrics report) and Execution Burndown

  • Cucumber Integration: AIO Tests has added Cucumber framework integration - create BDD cases and import Cucumber JSON results. Users can now create cases in Gherkin language (Given, When, Then & And). Users can also import their Cucumber results JSON file into AIO Tests via Import Results option from Cycles tab or using REST APIs.

  • Steps view from Cases listing: Users can now view steps from the right panel of a case by clicking an icon on top right. This helps users to review steps without going to the Case Details → Steps tab

  • New Public APIs added: Two new public APIs have been added. Cycles list can now be fetched along with key details like created date, updated date, start date, end date, component, release, etc. The second API gives a list of Cycles based on a search criteria. First Server version released. It encompasses all the features released for Cloud so far with few exceptions listed below

  • For the right panel of Runs and Steps, in the Defects tab, the option “or Create Jira Issue instead” is not available for Server

  • For Reports input screen for Traceability Summary and Detailed report, the option for creating your JQL through Jira’s screen is not available for Server

  • Public APIs have not yet been exposed for Server


22nd November, 2020 → Cloud: v1.9

New Features

  • Copy Run Results - While adding a run for newly created cases, users now have the option to copy previous run’s statuses, comments, defects and attachments

  • Reports - Multi-cycle Execution Summary report can now be exported to Excel along with all the other reports (except Traceability Detailed report - coming soon)

Enhancements

  • AIO Tests Jira Panel

    • The quick create will show the new row at the bottom so that the user doesn’t have to scroll

    • The owner column has moved to the last.

    • The panel will now be enabled on all issues of a project (needs to be enabled on project first) once it’s enabled on any one issue of the project
